In order to be fully considered for any financial assistance, including all merit fellowships, applicants are strongly encouraged to complete a financial assistance application by the stated deadlines, as funds are limited. The John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University (HKS) recommends applicants to print this page as they begin the financial assistance application process in order to help them through the required steps.
Please Note: The Kennedy School Application for Financial Assistance is expected to be available for completion as of December 1, 2008. The Office of Student Financial Assistance will contact you when it is available and provide you with your MYFAID login ID.

Returning international students do not submit a re-application. See Returning International Students for details on financing the second year.
The Kennedy School Application for Financial Assistance is available for completion. The Office of Student Financial Services will contact you when it is available and provide you with your MYFAID login ID.
In order to complete a financial assistance application, applicants must submit their application for admission. Applicants will receive an email from Student Financial Services, containing their unique MYFAID Student Login ID. Upon receipt of this email, you will be able to complete the HKS financial assistance application through MYFAID.
Students will receive an email from the Student Financial Services Office with their Student ID and PIN in early March which will allow them to access to the financial assistance application system, MYFAID.
If a student is applying only for loans, the deadlines above do not apply. Students may apply for loans anytime prior to the beginning of the academic year. Please allow two to three weeks for loans to be processed.
The deadline for the Zuckerman Fellowship and the Catherine B. Reynolds Fellowship is earlier than the deadlines indicated above. Please visit each fellowship website for more information.
