Ash Institute for Democratic Governance and Innovation
Student Summer Research Seminar
Monday, September 29
This past summer the Ash Institute funded a number of fellowships and independent, self-directed research projects by HKS students. Their experiences, while varied, were all intriguing stories unto themselves!
Students immersed themselves in the lives of women street vendors in La Paz, Bolivia; analyzed the role of African militaries in democratic transitions in West Africa; explored a minority group in East and Central Africa facing extinction; and experienced the workings of a major U.S. city's police department from the inside.
Come hear about their experiences and the results of their research. Learn about how the Ash Institute might support your own research project next summer!
